But when you’re in a Duramax truck that isn’t more than 5 years old and you’re blowing cancer directly into my face while I try to enjoy my moto ride, then fuck you.

Was stuck behind this asshole on a fun country road with traffic behind me, so I couldn’t slow down, and oncoming traffic spaced just far enough that I couldn’t pass.

I seriously do not understand that mindset at all. It’s one thing to accept that your car is a polluter and that, as an enthusiast, you might not care to reduce your impact on the environment by changing what you drive. It’s another thing entirely to say “yeah let’s crank this bitch up to 11. Fuck the environment.”

What kinda trailer was it? If it’s older than a 2011 it maybe because it was towing and had less emissions stuff on it. I know sometimes when towing the older diesels would blow black smoke out. Although from the picture it doesn’t look like a heavy enough trailer to cause that.

In reality, trying to give someone cancer via exhaust smoke should be grounds for assault with a deadly weapon. I should be legally allowed, at a minimum, to go John Candy Armed and Dangerous on them. (tried to find a video or pic but no luck)

Flat bed with a John Deere tractor. Not an oversized tractor, just a 2WD one, even a LD truck have towed it.

Truck was roughly 5 years old judging on the body style. But there’s no way that trucks smoke like that from the factory, even 15+ years ago

Usually it’s not that much when it does so it’s probably being made to do that or has some other issue.

I know my grandfathers 06 would occasionally smoke on acceleration going up hills but they also had a big ass trailer that likely weighed a lot more than that tractor does.

I drive a 2014 Ram diesel truck and had a motherf’r roll up on me and “roll coal” by dropping it to the floor and dumping a massive soot cloud right at my door and open window. All I could think was what a d-bag. Even my 17 year old cummins diesel Ram did not blow smoke towing a 40’ horse trailer loaded. I just don’t get people sometimes.

I have a special hatred reserved for bro-dozers and people that roll coal. They seem to be among the most over the top insanely aggressive and dangerous drivers on the road. I’ve had them attempt to run me off the road at least twice, I’ve had cups full of coffee and waterbottles thrown at me. Outside of bro-dozers, the worst I’ve ever gotten is the rare middle finger from what I usually assume is someone that’s just having a bad day and taking it out on other drivers via creative gesturing. Half of them seem to legitimately think they are the fastest thing on the road and will just go over the top crazy if you dare to pass them (that was one of the times they attempted to run me off the road). I know there are a handful of them that are absurdly fast, and I guess I can respect the work done to make that happen, but the vast majority just seem to spew black smoke and accelerate with all the speed of a geo metro.

it will likely contribute to premature engine failure

you could accomplish a similar effect by injecting fuel right into the exhaust, bypassing the engine altogether
